In short
Desktop brings together on a single page, each in its own tab, your documents, workbooks and presentations, along with any other file opened for reading: a PDF, an image, a text file, a ZIP archive. Use it to work on several files at once, for example to write a report while keeping its figures in view. At most twelve tabs are open at the same time. Documents are saved automatically in your browser's storage, up to 500 of them, and are there on your next visit. Clearing your browsing data deletes them: “Back up everything” downloads a copy as a ZIP file, which you can restore on another device if needed. Nothing is uploaded; everything stays on your device.

Frequently asked questions
Where are my recent documents saved?
In your browser's private storage, on your device only. Clearing your browsing data deletes them, so also save a copy of your important documents on your device.
How many documents can be open at once?
Up to twelve at once, each in its own tab.
Can I work offline?
Yes: once the site has loaded (or been installed as an app), documents open and can be edited without a connection.
Are my files sent to a server?
No. Everything is processed in your browser, on your device: no file is sent anywhere, neither to ElniDocs nor to anyone else. You can check this by going offline once the page has loaded: the tool keeps working.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It is free, with no sign-up, no adverts and no watermark added to your files. The only limit is your device's memory (up to 500 MB per file).
