Is the text editable?
Yes, with “Editable text”: each block of text becomes a text box in its place, with its size, bold, italics and colour. Pictures, shapes, lines and backgrounds stay underneath, in a picture of the page without its text.
Is the original font kept?
It is approached: Arial, Times New Roman or Courier New, depending on whether the original font is sans serif, serif or monospaced. Boxes are a little wider than the text so that it does not wrap.
What about a scanned PDF?
A scan has no text to make editable: each page becomes a picture. Run it through “OCR: make a PDF searchable” first so that its text at least goes into the notes (“Page pictures” mode).
Are my files sent to a server?
No. Everything is processed in your browser, on your device: no file is sent anywhere, neither to ElniDocs nor to anyone else. You can check this by going offline once the page has loaded: the tool keeps working.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It is free, with no sign-up, no adverts and no watermark added to your files. The only limit is your device's memory (up to 500 MB per file).
